Booking & Appointments
- How do I book an appointment?
To book, contact Mack directly in person and through email. She’ll follow up to discuss your ideas and available dates.
- Do I need to leave a deposit?
Yes, a non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment. The deposit goes toward the final cost of your tattoo and is used to confirm your commitment.
- What’s your rescheduling or cancellation policy?
If you need to reschedule, please notify Mack at least 48 hours in advance. Deposits may be forfeited if the appointment is canceled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice.
Preparing for Your Tattoo
- What should I do to prepare for my tattoo?
Get a good night’s sleep, eat a decent meal, and stay hydrated. Avoid drinking alcohol or taking blood-thinning medications for at least 24 hours before your appointment.
- Can I bring a friend with me?
Due to space and focus, it’s recommended to come solo or bring one guest, especially for longer sessions.
Tattoo Process & Aftercare
- How long will my tattoo take?
Duration depends on the size, complexity, and style. You will be given an estimate during the consultation process.
- What aftercare should I follow?
Detailed aftercare instructions will be provided after your session. Generally, you should keep the tattoo clean, avoid direct sunlight, and avoid submerging it in water (like baths or pools) for a few weeks.
- What happens if I need a touch-up?
Touch-ups are generally free within a certain time frame (usually within the first few months), but charges may apply if significant changes are needed.
Pricing
- How much will my tattoo cost?
Prices start at the shop’s minimum and vary based on the tattoo’s size, placement, and design complexity. Mack will provide an estimate once you’ve discussed your ideas.
- Do you accept walk-ins?
Walk-ins may be available on certain days, but booking an appointment is recommended to ensure you get the time needed for your piece.
Design & Style
- Can I bring my own design?
Yes! Mack loves working with client ideas. She can use your design as is or adjust it to make it tattoo-ready.
- What styles do you specialize in?
Mack specializes in traditional, neo-traditional, calligraphy, and rubber-hose animation-inspired tattoos. She’ll be happy to create something in these styles or discuss other options.
- Can I get a digital copy of the design without getting the tattoo?
Yes, Mack can create a custom digital tattoo design if you’re not ready to commit to the tattoo itself. The cost for a digital design depends on factors like the size, detail, and complexity of the artwork. Reach out for a quote if this is something you’re interested in.
